LTYou: Ey Up Leeds

Our Level 4 Film, TV and Photography students recently spent 6 days preparing this live broadcast, all about the amazing things you can can do in Leeds on a budget. Have a watch and preview the sort of project you could be working on when you join Leeds Trinity.

Tungsten Media visit

Recently, our TV, Film and Digital Marketing students visited Tungsten Studios, one of the largest purpose-built film and photography studios in the heart of Leeds.

Our students were treated to a tour of the studios and took part in creating a TV advert for a new Crisp flavour to air during a World Cup Campaign, from scratch with the help of AI and virtual production. AI tools included an AI image generator and a full virtual production space.

Journalism and Media Week

Journalism and Media Week (JMW) is now in its seventeenth year and has established a reputation for bringing some of the most talented and well-respected people in the industry to Leeds.

This year's four-day programme (Monday 10 - Thursday 13 November) will be packed with speakers from the world of journalism, media, film and photography. It allows our students, as well as those who have just embarked on their careers, to listen to those who have been doing the role for years and discover what inspired them to choose this industry, the challenges they faced, and more.

Journalism and Media Week gives attendees a rare opportunity to get up close and network with their heroes and learn from a wide range of professionals seen on TV, heard on the radio and working behind the scenes to make it all come together.

Journalism and Media Week is open to students at Leeds Trinity University, students from schools, colleges, and other universities, prospective students, journalists and members of the public.

The variety of classes at Leeds Trinity gave me the opportunity to try a full range of TV roles within an encouraging environment. I'm currently working as a Production Coordinator for the Premier League's in-house production team, where we oversee the production and broadcast of all 380 PL games worldwide. The biggest reward is seeing all our hard work coming together in the delivery of different live and pre-recorded shows to 186 countries around the world.
