Make more happen with our specialist facilities

Academic theory meets practical application to create a unique, immersive learning environment at our Leeds City Campus.

Law students at Leeds Trinity can benefit from bespoke facilities, including a brand-new moot courtroom. This offers a simulated or ‘mock’ courtroom setting in which to practice your advocacy and courtroom skills, giving you the opportunity to argue hypothetical cases in front of a panel of judges, without the presence of a jury or witnesses. This helps you to develop essential legal skills such as critical thinking, legal reasoning, oral advocacy and teamwork.

Our immersive learning spaces provide the ideal environment for you to develop new knowledge, acquire new skills, and put them into practice, helping you to prepare for the legal profession.

Develop professional connections

Law students at Leeds Trinity can benefit from a whole host of guest speakers and visits during their course, bringing your studies to life. These can range from Insight Days at award-winning local law firm offices, guest lectures from renowned global firms, annual talks from charities such as LawCare and joint events with organisations such as LegalTech in Leeds

We also have an important relationship with Leeds Law Society – offering opportunities for you to network, attend events and get stuck into all things law in Leeds and the wider region.

Hone your practical skills with our Law Clinic

During your studies, you’ll have the opportunity to advise real people facing real-world legal problems as part of our free and confidential Law Clinic.

Learn how to confidently interview your clients, research possible solutions and write letters of advice in a way that can be easily understood and acted upon. You’ll be supervised by practising legal professionals throughout, ensuring both you and your client receive the best support possible.

Test your knowledge

Participate in our annual mooting competition and put your new-found legal knowledge to the test. Here at Leeds Trinity, we actively encourage you to participate in mooting, whether that be internal or external. It’s a great way to develop your research, advocacy and argumentation skills in teams of two, using legal provisions to support your arguments. Will you be crowned the next Leeds Trinity University Mooting Champions?
