Our accreditations

Our Biomedical Science programme is accredited by the Institute of Biomedical Science (IBMS).

IBMS degree accreditation guarantees that a degree programme meets the academic requirements of the standards of proficiency set by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) for biomedical scientists. This ensures that students receive a comprehensive, research-based scientific education and gain practical skills and experience that employers highly value.

Our Sport and Exercise Sciences programme is endorsed by the Chartered Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (CASES) - the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK.

Our Nursing courses are approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). On successful completion of our Nursing courses, graduates are eligible to apply to register with the NMC.

Our Health and Social Care with Foundation Year programme is endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, for the Health Navigator professional standard. 

Students who successfully complete this course will have met the Health Navigator professional standard and will be eligible for CIMSPA membership, while also gaining a degree endorsed by an organisation recognised in the professional sector.

Our Sport and Exercise Science and Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation programmes are also endorsed by the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, for the Health Navigator, Gym Instructor and Personal Training professional standards. 

Students who successfully complete these courses will have met the Health Navigator, Gym Instructor and Personal Training professional standards and will be eligible for CIMSPA membership, while also gaining a degree endorsed by an organisation recognised in the professional sector.

The Society of Sports Therapists accredits our Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation degree. Students who graduate from this course and fulfil the requirements of membership of the Society of Sports Therapists will be eligible for full membership of the Society.

Our MA Social Work programme is approved by Social Work England. On successful completion of this course, you’ll be eligible to apply for registration as a social worker with Social Work England.
