Develop the knowledge and skills you need for a rewarding career in nursing, where each day gives you the opportunity to make a difference to people’s health and wellbeing.

We offer Nursing in four different specialisms from Nursing (Learning Disabilities) to Nursing (Child), which is new for 2024/25.

Our innovative Nursing degrees have been co-designed by our academic experts in partnership with our clinical practice partners, service users and carers.

Nurses are integral members of multidisciplinary teams and interprofessional learning opportunities are embedded throughout your course. You’ll benefit from smaller class sizes and individual support from an experienced academic assessor and personal tutor, supporting you as you develop your chosen nursing field identity and future career ambitions.

You'll develop a solid understanding of assessing, leading, coordinating and delivering compassionate care to people and their families at home, in the community or in hospital.

With outstanding teaching equipment and facilities, smaller class sizes and individual support, we'll help you develop as a competent and confident critically-thinking nurse, supporting you as you develop within your chosen nursing field.

Nursing, in general, is one of the most rewarding careers. It takes a special kind of person to choose to be a nurse. For starters, you need to be compassionate, caring, kind and patient. You need to want to help people and do whatever it takes to make them feel better.

Facilities

Our Nursing degrees include access to outstanding teaching equipment and facilities including clinical suites, simulated clinical environments and replicated community settings, supported by digital health technologies, enabling you to practise your clinical skills in a safe and controlled environment.

Professional work placements

Professional placements are a key element of the applied nature of a nursing degree programme. You will spend approximately half your time in real-world practice in a variety of different settings, completing two 10-week blocks on placement in each academic year. During this time, you’ll be supported by experienced practice supervisors and assessors who will provide tailored feedback and you’ll complete an online portfolio to monitor your progress and achievements while on placement.

Graduate opportunities

Graduates from our Nursing degrees will be eligible to apply to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) to practise as a nurse (on the relevant part of the register) in the UK. The vocational nature of these degrees means most graduates progress quickly into employment within their chosen field of Nursing. Career opportunities exist within a variety of settings in hospitals, within the community or through organisations offering specialist support services in the voluntary or independent sector.
