Our salaries are competitive and reviewed every year. Employees can also progress through incremental points within their grade. All our employees are paid at the Real Living Wage or higher, which is a voluntary initiative meaning the University commits to paying people what they need to live.
We offer generous holiday entitlements and on top of the usual Bank Holidays, are closed for an additional seven days (including between Christmas and the New Year). We also run a buying holiday scheme (approval required) to allow employees to purchase up to an additional week of annual leave (pro rata).
We offer two different pension schemes depending if you are academic or support staff. For both schemes, the University will make a defined contribution on your behalf, alongside your own contribution.
Health and wellbeing
We offer several initiatives to support our employees mental, physical and financial wellbeing. These include access to an Employee Assistance Programme which gives free confidential legal, financial and consumer advice as well as a range of counselling services. We also offer on-site health checks, weekly mindfulness sessions, on-site fitness centre with significantly reduced membership and monthly learning lunches covering subjects such as nutrition, sleep and financial planning.
Staff have access to Trinity Perks, our employee discount portal which offers a range of discounts including supermarkets, high street stores, food and drink outlets and cinemas.
Payroll deduction schemes
We have a number of schemes to help you save money including cycle to work and bus and rail discounts.
There are many social events at Leeds Trinity to which all staff are invited. We also like to get involved with the local community and offer up to two days off for volunteering (pro rata).
