My Clearing experience, in a few words, was stress-relieving, reassuring, and easy! I never thought I would be in Clearing so I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’d never been to Leeds before I made the call, as a uni or a city, and I can genuinely say I'd never change it for the world. I’ve loved every second and could see a future here, all because of that one call!
I chose to go through Clearing at Leeds Trinity University because it was close to home and so welcoming. My top tips for students leading up to results day are that exams aren't everything. Through Clearing, you still have the opportunity to achieve greatness - don't give up!
Don't panic! I finished college with a BTEC in Carpentry and Joinery which is very different from Computer Science. There is more than one road to get to your destination and only you can walk it.
After two weeks at another university, I felt it wasn’t the place for me, as I just didn’t feel comfortable there. I also decided that the course didn't suit me either. My Clearing experience at Leeds Trinity was so simple and easy. The staff were friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful. They guided me through the whole process and made me feel at ease.

I came through Clearing and found the whole process so easy. I applied through UCAS, set up a profile and explained why I wanted to do this course in my personal statement. I had all the GCSEs but didn't have the A-levels, so I didn't think I stood a chance. Leeds Trinity gave me a chance by letting me do an essay, which I did on prisons and reoffending, and I passed!
