How to add a Clearing choice

To help you progress your application, we've put together a step-by-step guide on adding your LTU offer in the UCAS Hub.

Your step-by-step guide

If you've applied through Clearing and we've given you a provisional Clearing offer, your next step is to add this as a Clearing choice in your UCAS Hub account.

  1. Wait until Leeds Trinity University has confirmed your provisional Clearing offer - we need to check your qualifications before your offer can be officially confirmed.
  2. Once we have confirmed your offer, log in to your UCAS account. If you're not already registered on UCAS, you can apply directly to us.
  3. Go to the ‘Your choices’ section of your application. Add details for Leeds Trinity University (UCAS code L24) and the course you have been offered a place on using the ‘Add Clearing choice’ option.
  4. Once you have added your Clearing choice in the UCAS Hub, it will say that you're waiting for a decision from us. When you see the message ‘the University or college is currently considering your application (Referred)' you have successfully added your Clearing choice and don't need to do anything else. 
  5. Be patient. It can take up to 24 hours for us to process your application (excluding weekends). After 24 hours you should be able to see that we've offered you a place on your UCAS hub.
  6. Your application will now be an Unconditional Firm. Check your emails for your offer email which will explain your next steps, including applying for accommodation and student finance.

 

Important information

You should only 'add a Clearing choice' to your UCAS Hub if a university offers you a place on a course through Clearing and you wish to accept that offer.

If you add a Clearing Choice on your UCAS Hub but have not been offered a place both by that university and for the course you select, your application will likely be declined and until that university declines you, you can't accept any other Clearing offer that you may receive.

If the ‘add Clearing choice' button in your online UCAS Hub is not available, please check that you have definitely been released or rejected from your other UCAS commitments and are not holding a place at another University or institution.
