We can’t wait to welcome you to our Main Campus in Horsforth for your Primary Education Applicant Experience Day.

Your Applicant Experience Day is the perfect opportunity to get a feel for life at Leeds Trinity University.

You’ll get to meet other new students, explore the facilities where you’ll study, get to know some of your future lecturers, and take part in an interactive subject taster session during your visit.

Primary Education programmes - Inspiring the Next Generation – Teach it. Try It. Love It.

See how great teachers shape young minds.

You'll explore what makes learning come alive through activities designed to mirror real teaching on the course. Working in small groups, you’ll tackle the Curious Bag Challenge – transforming mystery objects into engaging lesson ideas and experiencing the creative, collaborative teaching that defines our course.

There's also an opportunity to reflect on thinking like a teacher and discuss how the programme develops the skills you need. You'll leave ready to inspire the next generation and knowing this is where you belong.

Primary Education programmes with Foundation Year - All You Need to Bring is Yourself

Explore what it really means to inspire the next generation and be a primary school teacher in 2026.

Reflect on your own experiences, discuss what makes great teaching, and understand the skills and personal attributes you'll need to succeed. You'll get an overview of the course, including school-based training, and take part in activities that show how theory comes alive in the classroom.

Leave confident that you've chosen the right path and are ready to begin your journey to the classroom.

Wednesday 8 April

12:00pm – 12:30pm	Arrival and registration Use your food voucher to grab some lunch, visit the Information Fair or take an optional Campus Tour.
12:30pm – 1:00pm	Next steps – finance, accommodation and student Q&A Learn about your next steps, including key dates and deadlines. You’ll also join a Q&A session with current students who discuss their experiences commuting to campus or living in accommodation.
1:00pm – 1:15pm	Welcome to your Applicant Experience Day Meet your academic school and find out more about your day.
1:15pm – 3:15pm	Interactive Subject Session Get a deeper insight into your course by experiencing your chosen subject in this interactive session.
3:15pm – 4:00pm	Personalise your Applicant Experience Day Use this time to tailor your visit to your interests and needs. You can visit the Information Fair and get your questions answered, or join a Campus Tour to see key facilities and a selection of our student accommodation.

Saturday 25 April
