What happens next?

Our Admissions team will acknowledge receipt of your application by email. Where applications are submitted but references are still in progress, Admissions will wait for the reference(s) to be received and then will process it, and forward it to the relevant Programme Leader.

The Programme Leader will either make a decision based on your application or invite you to attend an interview if they need to discuss your application further.

Made an offer?

You should accept or decline your offer by emailing admissions@leedstrinity.ac.uk.

If you accept, you'll need to prove you satisfy the conditions outlined in your offer letter by any deadline set.

You may be asked to present the relevant supporting documentation in person to the student information point on campus, if originals are not needed you’ll be contacted and given details of how to provide the supporting documentation.

Apply for a research degree

Once you've read the Admissions Policy below and know you've got the necessary qualifications to apply, you'll need to contact a related subject area academic who can agree to be your potential supervisor.

Supporting documents and a potential supervisor are the first steps to applying to a postgraduate research degree.

You need at least two references who should be qualified to comment on your educational background and potential for your chosen programme of study.

Once you've got these, you're ready to apply with the below application form, which you should then return to admissions@leedstrinity.ac.uk.

Information for applicants awaiting award results

For any students applying for postgraduate study with Leeds Trinity University, who are impacted by UCU action connected to the marking of assessment for their first degree, the University has agreed the following approach:

New postgraduate students will be permitted to enrol on their LTU postgraduate programme but will remain provisionally registered with the University pending the final award of their degree. The deadline for confirmation of their final award is Friday 27 October 2023.

During the period of provisional registration, any finance arranged via the Student Loans Company, ITT bursaries etc will not be paid out.  Payments to eligible students will be triggered when a student has met all their conditions of entry and are fully registered with the University. Students who do not meet the conditions of entry, following confirmation of a late award, will be withdrawn.

Applicants who have been made an offer for a postgraduate programme at LTU starting in September 2023 and are impacted by the UCU action may contact the Admissions team to discuss their position at Admissions@leedstrinity.ac.uk
