University apprentice drives green agenda with key role in car rental reward scheme


A Leeds Trinity University graduate has put her learning into practice as part of a collaboration on eco-friendly car rental options.

Vicky Jolley recently graduated with a First Class Honours degree apprenticeship in Business-to-Business Sales from Leeds Trinity and is now progressing her career with, where she completed the work-based learning throughout her qualification. 

Vicky has been working with partner businesses on behalf of, a brand owned by Booking Holdings, to develop a reward scheme which rewards travellers who choose environmentally friendly car rentals. 

To build this proposition, Vicky on behalf of successfully collaborated with Green Motion, a world-leading provider of lower carbon emissions car rental options in 54 countries worldwide and Wizz Air, the fastest growing, most sustainable* airline in Europe.

Wizz Air started offering the scheme to customers in February as part of their continued commitment to sustainability.

Vicky, who helped develop the scheme for her work-based project module in her final year, said: “I am incredibly proud of this collaboration but also thankful to Leeds Trinity University and its partner Consalia for providing me with the training and skills needed to successfully lead the initiative on behalf of By thinking customer first and using innovative problem-solving tools, I was able to work creatively and overcome potential challenges. Ultimately, this has enabled us to help our partner Wizz Air to offer their customers eco-friendly car rental options through our partnership with Green Motion.”

The BSc (Hons) Professional Practice in Business-to-Business Sales degree apprenticeship is a work-based programme designed to develop the essential knowledge, understanding and skills required to operate effectively and successfully in a sales role, and to support the development of a graduate calibre sales person.
