What to expect

Welcome Week is the official start of your journey at Leeds Trinity.

It's your chance to settle in, meet new people and get to know your course before teaching begins.

From essential timetabled sessions to fun and informal events, the week is designed to help you feel confident, connected and ready for student life.

Everything you need to know is on this page, including key dates, what to expect and how to make the most of your first week with us.

Key dates for Welcome Week

Welcome Week

When you arrive at Leeds Trinity will depend on your course and where you're living. Some courses have earlier start dates, and move-in days are different for each campus. Make sure to check the details below carefully so you know what to expect.

International and visiting students

If you are an international or visiting undergraduate student you should check your personal and student emails for more information about when to arrive at Leeds Trinity University.

Move-in days

The Accommodation Office will email you with your specific arrival slot around one week before.

Welcome Week dates

Monday 21 September - Sunday 27 September

These dates apply for the majority of undergraduate students (including Foundation Year students). You will receive further information if these dates do not apply to you.

Other key dates

You can find term dates, exam periods and assessment deadlines on the Term Dates page of our website.

Your timetable

Accessing your timetable

Your timetable will show you where you need to be and when. This includes the dates, times and locations of your lectures, seminars, workshops and Welcome Week sessions.

You'll be able to view your timetable in e:Vision or myLTU, but only once you've completed your online enrolment. If you're not sure how to do that, head over to our Before You Start page for guidance.

Timetabled sessions

All the sessions listed on your Welcome Week timetable are compulsory, so you should attend every one.

Students who miss this week often tell us they felt like they were always playing catch-up.

It's your chance to meet your coursemates, get to know your tutors and feel more confident about the term ahead.

All sessions take place in person, so keep an eye on your timetable in e:Vision or myLTU for the latest updates.

Non-timetabled sessions

Alongside your timetable, there'll be plenty of optional events happening across campus.

These are a brilliant way to meet new people, explore what's on offer and ease into student life.

From socials and sports tasters to wellbeing drop-ins and welcome events, there'll be something for everyone - with activities run by the University, Leeds Trinity Students' Union, Trinity Sport, Trinity Fitness and the Chaplaincy.

You can find out more by visiting the Events tile on myLTU.
