We understand that as an international student, being away from home can be difficult, that's why we're dedicated to giving you all the support and guidance you need.

From our disability and mental health support to our guidance on the best places to eat, drink and explore in Leeds, you're supported from the day you apply to your career after you leave LTU.

Student support

We’re committed to providing our students with a truly personal experience, offering a wide range of support at every stage of your university journey.

Our friendly Student Support and Wellbeing team is here to help you with a range of personal and academic issues. In-person appointments are available at both campuses, with additional support provided through phone, email and virtual appointments.

Our services include:

  • Disability Services
  • The Mental Health and Wellbeing Service, including a broad range of one-to-one and group therapeutic support
  • Student advisers for general support - available seven days a week
  • The Money Advice Service, including support with student finance issues.

We know there may be different practices and norms in other countries around accessing the kind of support we offer, but our services are widely used by both Home and Overseas students who benefit from the impartial and safe environment we provide – sometimes you may simply need someone to listen to you, and the team will be happy to offer and friendly ear.
