You'll be sent an email invitation if you're eligible.

More information

We offer all our graduands three choices for graduating.

You can attend your graduation ceremony and be presented with your award certificate. You will only be allowed to attend the ceremony you're invited to - you can't switch to a different ceremony.

You can graduate in absentia and your award certificate will be posted to you. If you graduate in absentia, you may not attend a future ceremony.

Or you can defer your attendance to the December 2020 graduation ceremonies

Under the Leeds Trinity Data Protection Policy and Statement, information on final degree classifications is regarded as public information and may be published as such.

Leeds Trinity produces a souvenir programme for all graduation ceremonies. The Yorkshire Evening Post will be publishing an article about Leeds Trinity Graduation and this article will include the name and award of our graduates. These publications will not include final degree classifications.

If you provide consent to share your details, your official name and award name will be included in such publications, however, these publications will not include your final degree classification. You will be asked to opt in or opt out of your information being included in such publications during e:Vision registration.

Leeds Trinity works with StageClip to produce a personalised digital video clip for each graduand attending graduation.

Each clip will capture the moment you are on the platform being presented with your award and will be available for you and others to download and post to your friends and family on social media shortly after the ceremony has finished.

In order to offer this service, we will need to provide StageClip with your presentation name and award name. You will be asked to opt in or opt out of your information being shared with StageClip during e:Vision registration.

You will be asked to confirm the number of guest tickets you require when registering to attend graduation.

There is no charge for guests to attend the ceremony.

Chapel guest tickets

Two Chapel guest tickets are available for each graduand who registers to attend their graduation ceremony.

Children over two years old require a guest ticket to enter the Chapel.

Auditorium guest tickets

Two guest tickets for the live relay of the ceremony in the Auditorium will be available for each graduand if they're requested at registration.

Children over two years old will require a guest ticket to enter the Auditorium.

Infant guest tickets

Two infant guest tickets will be available for each graduand if they're requested at registration.

These tickets are only for use by children who are under two years old and they must sit on an adult's knee during the ceremony.

These tickets can be used in either the Chapel or the Auditorium.

Additional guest tickets

It will not be possible to issue any additional Chapel or Auditorium guest tickets.

Additional guests may watch the live relay of the ceremony on the plasma screens in the Studio.

What to wear under your gown

Graduation day is a day to celebrate so you want to look your best for your ceremony and photographs. We would recommend that graduands wear smart clothes under their gowns.

If you're receiving a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctor of Philosophy award, it is recommended to wear a buttoned shirt or blouse in order to secure your hood; your hood has a loop which is best secured around a button which is line with your collar bone. Wearing a t-shirt or low-cut top makes securing the hood more difficult and can mean it feels uncomfortable if it slips off your shoulders.

Also don't forget your footwear – your presentation walk is about 10 meters on a tiled surface so ensure you are comfortable walking that distance in your choice of shoes!

Pre-ordering a gown

Once you've registered for graduation, you'll receive information about how to order your graduation gown online.

The gown hire price if you pre-order by 22 May is £39.

We strongly recommend pre-ordering as there is no guarantee of all sizes being available on the day.

If you decide not to pre-order your gown, the hire price on graduation day is £49.
