What’s happening?

We are very excited to host the Trinity Alumni Business Network again. With it being December, we will welcome you in with a mulled wine reception and sandwiches.

Andy Gilliland will be hosting the event, where we will share some exciting updates about Business at Leeds Trinity and introduce an alumni panel, who are at different stages of their careers. You will be able to hear how they have been successful and their top tips. There will also be an opportunity for Q&A, where you can ask questions.

It’s also a brilliant opportunity to network with some of our current students, staff and fellow alumni, and share best practice and discuss any current challenges and opportunities available.

We are delighted to welcome back the following Leeds Trinity alumni who will be sharing their stories and participating in the panel Q&A:

Natalya Stecko

Natalya’s professional career began whilst pursuing an International Business Masters at Leeds Trinity. A module on global marketing piqued her interest and gave her a clear career direction. She contacted a Technical SEO agency in Leeds and requested work experience. This resulted in a paid part-time job, followed by a full-time job as a Content Executive, which progressed to Senior Content Executive. Natalya then tried her hand at in-house marketing, which led to her next position as a Digital Marketing Manager at Inclusive Employers.

Wanting to focus on career progression and learning new skills, Natalya moved on to her current position leading the marketing team at Stada Media, a content marketing agency.

Zishaan Faridi

Zishaan is a well-known and highly respected member of the Huddersfield community. In 2015 he started an initiative called 'Everybody Eats' which supported the homelessness of West Yorkshire and then during Ramadan held Stalls, which took place on a Friday, to feed everyone, from any background. Visitors could collect essential items as well as eat for free as a way to make their lives easier. A number of restaurants supported this project.

Zishaan has also followed his passion for rap music, producing his own songs (known as Zeeno Shortz). More recently Zishaan has excelled in business following two successful online businesses and moved into the property industry. Following this success, he now co-owns and manages his own highly regarded Estate Agency.

Tim Hodgson

Tim is an Honorary Fellow of Leeds Trinity, an award he received for his continued commitment and support of the University and its students, by supporting them to achieve success in their future careers.

After graduating from Leeds Trinity, Tim continued further studies in Property Valuation Management before moving to London and beginning his career in property. In 2005, he joined Harrogate-based family business – commercial property investment company Westcourt Group Ltd. – as director, alongside his father Kenneth. Westcourt Group Ltd. focuses on both commercial and residential property.

Tim has mentored students, given masterclasses and been on numerous panels including judging student enterprise projects.
