Study Primary Education at Leeds Trinity

At Leeds Trinity, you'll train to teach children aged 3-7 or 5-11 years, combining academic knowledge with practical experience.

Your courses are developed with school partners, expert academics, and the latest research.

You'll spend over half the course in school-based training, supported by mentors and university staff, and receive specialist instruction on classroom management and subject pedagogy.

On graduation, you'll be recommended for Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and fully prepared to start your teaching career, qualified to teach from age 3 to 11 in the primary sector.

It's not too late to secure your place at Leeds Trinity for 2026 entry. If eligible, UCAS Extra allows you to gain a place at university between 26 February and 1 July 2026. You can use Extra if you’ve used all five choices in your application and you’re not holding any offers or have declined them.
