It's not too late
Apply now via UCAS Extra or register for updates about applying to Leeds Trinity University through Clearing.
Apply via UCAS Register for ClearingExplore contemporary policing and law enforcement and prepare for a career in the police or associated professions with a policing degree.
We offer a degree in Professional Policing licensed by the College of Policing as a pre-join degree entry route into policing. Alternatively, you can immerse yourself in the field of criminology, forensics and the criminal justice system. Alternatively, Criminology with Police Studies allows you to immerse yourself in the field of criminology and the inner-workings of the Criminal Justice System.
You’ll learn from lecturers with experience working within the police, prison and security services, who will help you to develop your knowledge of the UK police force and gain an understanding of the policing profession. You’ll also study the wider justice sector, criminology and law.
You’ll gain additional practical experience alongside your studies, either through the professional work placements that form part of your course or, if studying on the Professional Policing degree, by being encouraged to volunteer as a special constable.
Depending on the degree you choose, we also offer opportunities to study, work or volunteer overseas.
We aim to help you graduate with the skills and experience needed to make you highly employable within policing, the broader justice sector and security services.
You'll be based at the School of Criminology, Investigation and Policing at our new Leeds City Campus, due to open for the 2024/25 academic year. A brand new learning space right in the heart of the city, you'll have access to modern facilities and study spaces and be minutes away from Leeds train station.
