Working in Horsforth

Leeds Trinity University > Working in Horsforth

Leeds Trinity University is nestled in one of West Yorkshire’s most popular villages, Horsforth, and is a stone’s throw from the centre of Leeds (6 miles, or 14 minutes on the train). If you’re not sure that village life is for you, don’t be put off so soon – Horsforth’s buzzing atmosphere is certainly worth sticking around for and is home to a host of restaurants, pubs and local sports grounds, all set in the beautiful Yorkshire countryside.

Have an after work drink or hearty pub dinner at the Old Ball, just down the road from Leeds Trinity University or take in the shopping and maybe even a show in Leeds. Explore the region's fascinating ancient Viking history in York or drive less than an hour to get into the quaint villages and spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Discovering the local area is easy - Horsforth train station has regular services to York, Leeds and the beautiful spa town of Harrogate.

There are local sports teams where players of all ages are encouraged to get involved and the Leeds Trinity University campus is less than four miles to the Headingley Carnegie Stadium, where you can catch cricket or rugby matches all year round. Horsforth is both family-friendly and popular with young professionals, who are all attracted by the excellent quality of life and no shortage of things to do in the area.

Thinking of travelling further afield? No problem – Leeds and York both offer national rail connections and are directly accessible from Horsforth train station. Leeds Bradford Airport is your ticket to Europe and beyond and is just five minutes in a taxi from the university.
