Our Computer Science degrees are designed with the tech industry in Leeds quickly becoming the digital capital of the North to help you develop the skills and attributes that employers are looking for.

Through our innovative approach, we aim to inspire and develop the next generation of software developers, designers, testers, analysts and project managers. Our Computer Science courses have been designed in collaboration with the tech industry to help you acquire the skills and attributes that employers are looking for. 

You'll be based at the School of Computer Science at our new Leeds City Campus, due to open for the 2024/25 academic year. A brand new learning space right in the heart of the city, you'll have access to modern facilities and study spaces and be minutes away from Leeds train station.

Facilities

You'll have access to cloud computing technologies such as Microsoft Azure and MS developer tools such as Visual Studio Pro.

We have Android tablets for developing and testing Android apps and we are developing our toolkit of IoT and maker project resources such as Raspberry Pis, sensors and virtual assistants.

Accreditation

Our BSc (Hons) Computer Science is accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional.

It's also accredited by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT on behalf of the Engineering Council for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for Incorporated Engineer and partially meeting the academic requirement for a Chartered Engineer.
