Everyone wants your graduation day to be an enjoyable experience to celebrate your achievements. Leeds Trinity will help you prepare for the occasion and guide you through it during the day.

Car parking is extremely limited on campus, so we strongly recommend finding alternative means of reaching us if possible.

Horsforth Rail Station is approximately one mile from the University, and we are also located within easy reach of many major bus routes that connect to Leeds and its suburbs. Find out more about travelling to campus.

If there is no practical alternative to driving, Student Ambassadors will be on hand at campus entrances to direct you to available parking, both on campus and at Yarnbury Rugby Club. Parking spaces cannot be reserved, this includes disabled parking spaces.

A drop-off point will be in operation at the main entrance. If you are bringing luggage with you, please leave this in your car where possible. We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes to two hours before your ceremony starts and remember to allow plenty of time for traffic. Leeds Trinity will try and accommodate latecomers where possible but once proceedings reach a certain point, entrance to the Chapel will not be permitted.

On arrival, you'll be directed to the Gym to collect your gown. If you haven't pre-ordered your gown, head to the Gym and the Marston staff will be able to help you. You will need to pay the hire charge of £49 directly to them. Remember if you pre-order your gown, the hire charge will be £39.

Remember to return your gown after the ceremony and celebrations.

Guest tickets will be available for you to collect on your graduation day before you have collected your gown. You will need to bring photographic identification to receive your guest tickets and your ceremony seat number. On entering the Chapel, the Usher will help guide you to your seats. You will need to be seated 15 minutes before the ceremony starts for the attendance check.

You can view the number of guest tickets you have been allocated via your e:Vision account.

Photography studios will be available in the Gym to have your official graduation photograph taken by Marston. If you haven't pre-ordered your photography package, just head to the Gym on the day and the Marston staff will be able to help you.

You will be invited to enter the Chapel around 50 minutes before the start of the ceremony. Every individual, including children, will need to show a valid ticket.

The ceremony will last for approximately one hour. Ushers will be on hand throughout the ceremony to guide graduands. You will approach the platform when your name is called to be presented with your degree award, shake hands with the Presiding Officers and receive your award certificate. If you do not wish to shake hands with the Presiding Officers, please hold your graduation programme in your hands. Ushers will then guide you back to your seat.

Please note: each ceremony is filmed and broadcast live on campus and the Leeds Trinity website. The video footage will remain on the website following graduation. Graduands and guests should be aware that they may appear on this recording. By participating in graduation, graduands and guests consent to be party to these practices.

All the graduation ceremonies will be relayed live to StUdio (SU bar) on campus and guests do not need a ticket to access this area although please note it may be busy. The graduation ceremonies will also be streamed live on the Leeds Trinity University website as well as on our Facebook page.

Leeds Trinity works with StageClip to produce a personalised digital video clip for each graduand attending graduation. Each clip will capture the moment you are on the platform being presented with your award and will be available for you and others to download and post to your friends and family on social media shortly after the ceremony has finished.

In order to offer this service, we will need to provide StageClip with your presentation name and award name. You will be asked to opt in or opt out of your information being shared with StageClip during e:Vision registration.

Throughout graduation you can buy specially branded Leeds Trinity University gifts and souvenirs from graduation bears to certificate tubes and pen sets. The gifts are a lovely keepsake for graduates or great presents for friends and family.

The merchandise stall will be located in the Atrium and will be open before and after the ceremony. You can also buy gifts and souvenirs via our online store.

On the day of your Graduation, the Yorkshire Evening Post will feature the names of Leeds Trinity students graduating that day on a dedicated page in the paper.

We'll be giving away copies of the paper at your Graduation ceremony – there will be enough for one paper per graduate, so make sure you or one of your guests picks up a copy from the Alumni Merchandise stand.

We asked all students for their consent in sharing their names with the Yorkshire Evening Post, so if you didn't give your consent, don't worry – your name won't feature.

Our campus is an inclusive and accessible environment.

Special requirements for your visit can be made in advance. Please call +44 (0) 113 283 7138 or email disability.support@leedstrinity.ac.uk to make arrangements.

Are you Tweeting, Instagramming and Facebooking during graduation? The hashtag is #LTUgraduation.

Speaking of social media, sharing pictures of your certificate online puts you at risk of identity theft. There's no need to avoid taking graduation selfies altogether (in fact, we positively encourage this!) but we would recommend keeping the details on your certificate out of them.
