What is the guidance for visitors to campus?
We ask that you familiarise yourself with our current COVID-19 safety measures.
We ask that you always adhere to these measures whilst visiting our campus, as this will help us to ensure we continue to protect the health, safety, and wellbeing of all our students, staff, and visitors.
Before attending campus, please speak to your University contact to check your meeting/visit will be in person, in line with the latest advice and guidance.
Are you feeling well?
Regardless of your COVID-19 vaccination status, if you feel unwell, or a member of your household feels unwell, with symptoms of COVID-19, please do not attend campus under any circumstances.
You will find further information about the current symptoms of COVID-19 on the NHS website.
Lateral flow tests
We ask that everyone attending campus takes a lateral flow device test (LFD) before your first visit and continue to take one every three or four days (as per current government guidance). If you test positive, or receive an inconclusive test, you will need to postpone your visit to our campus and contact the person you are due to meet to re-arrange your visit.
Face coverings on campus
We strongly encourage face coverings/masks to be worn at all times inside all of our campus buildings, this includes any public spaces, classrooms or meeting rooms, as well as the University shuttle bus – unless you are exempt from wearing a face covering.
Should you forget to bring a face mask with you, we have disposable ones available on reception for you to use.
Use of sanitiser stations
Hand sanitiser points are available across campus, please ensure you use these regularly and/or wash hands for a minimum of 20 seconds with warm water and soap throughout your visit.
Where sanitising products (e.g., disinfectant wipes) are provided, these should be used to wipe down equipment before and after use as appropriate and used wipes disposed of in the bins provided.
Wherever possible, please ensure where you have access to open any windows, that these remain open to allow a supply of fresh air and ventilation.
Other COVID-19 safety measures
As you walk around our campus buildings, you are likely to find other measures in place, such as screens in reception areas, between some desks and within lecture theatres. Where you encounter these measures, we ask that you utilise these and refrain from moving these or any other furniture wherever possible.
