ACADEMIC PROVISION
A wide range of courses are offered at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Business & Management, Marketing, Education, English, Film Studies, Sport, Health & Leisure, History, Media, Journalism, Psychology, Theology, etc. Visiting students are also welcome to join us and earn credits towards their degrees at home.

A key feature of all our courses is professional content, practical experience and career-focused learning. We maintain strong links with business, industry and schools, offering professional work placements. Our programmes therefore combine academic challenge with strong professional career orientation to enhance your CV. Over the past decade 95% of all our graduates are in work or further study within six months of graduating (Graduate Destination Survey 2006).
Duration of programmes
The length of our programmes varies. Our InterAccess International Foundation Course lasts for 1 year, upon successful completion of which students may continue to the first year of undergraduate or postgraduate programmes. Most courses start in September with some postgraduates starting in January. Degree courses last for 3 years, Masters 1 year or 2 and PhD 3 years.

Scholarships and awards: part scholarships are offered to eligible international students based on academic and
professional merits. For graduates achieving either a 1st Class Bachelor’s degree or a Master’s degree with Distinction, we also offer a special International Excellence Award worth £1,000.
Living costs: It is essential that in addition to your tuition fees you have enough money to live on during your period of study. Compared to many cities in the UK, Leeds is not an expensive place to live, but to maintain an acceptable standard of living you will need at least £600/month for the entire length of time you stay here.
Accommodation: All single international students are usually offered accommodation on campus in their first year if they
apply in time.
