BBC Coventry & Warwickshire - covering football matches; rugby; speedway and ice hockey for broadcast, using flashmic and working the desk in the studio.
BBC Radio 5live - I worked on the Richard Bacon Show as a runner; Breakfast show as a broadcast assistant; and on the phone in for the 606 show.
BBC Radio 4 - I work on a casual basis as a broadcast assistant for the Today programme; PM; World Tonight ; Broadcasting House and The World at One. Duties include booking studios nationally and internationally; organising taxis for guests and staff; liaising with other organisations; editing and printing scripts. I publish the podcast online, using CoolEdit.
Coventry Telegraph - On a casual basis I interview players of Coventry City, past and present, and produce articles for the paper.
Sky Sports - I was at Skysports.com for a week collating material for the website and writing articles, using Getty and Adobe.
BBC The Football League Show - I interviewed the Coventry and opposition manager for the show. This was then broadcast on the programme.
I've recently completed a three week stint on BCB radio, which was a live broadcast on the hour every day. Working within a team, we shared roles such as editor, reporter and newsreader. This experience gave me a great insight into what attributes are needed to broadcast and produce a live programme. I covered everything from interviewing members of the BNP to Bradford City. I also made contacts within the local media which will stand me in good stead for the future.
