I have recently been part of the Sky News team during coverage of the royal wedding. I produced, filmed and edited a commissioned film on a tight deadline for one of their evening programmes.
I have five weeks experience in a Yorkshire based radio newsroom. I worked as a reporter, news editor and newsreader for Bradford's BCB radio. This experience stretched to audio editing and production for hourly bulletins. Multi-platforming was crucial in this role as online news content was needed on a daily basis.
I worked as an operational journalist for The Pulse in Bradford covering the local elections this May. I provided live information for the station as well as interviews with candidates.
I worked on a nine month part-time work experience placement at Xfm London, shadowing a broadcast journalist. This gave me a first hand insight in to interviewing and reviewing, as well as news collection. I was responsible for editing audio and researched in to stories when background information was needed.
I worked on Cardiff University's student radio station Xpress for two years producing and presenting my own two hour show.
