Chapeltown shooting

A 56 year old man was treated in hospital for gunshot wounds after an incident in the Chapeltown area of Leeds last night.

Police say they were called to a disturbance in a park close to the Mandela Centre. It's believed the man was treated for a gunshot wound to his foot. There were no arrests but police are appealing for any witnesses of the incident to contact them.

Early morning traffic was diverted away from the scene whilst further police inquiries were being made.
