Welcome to Yorkshire Day! We've sent our reporters out and about all over the region to see what events are happening.

Coming up in the programme tonight, we're looking at who you think should be the face of Yorkshire on banknotes. Suggestions in so far are Alan Bennett, Geoffrey Boycott, and the Bronte sisters.

Continuing the Yorkshire theme, we look back on our proudest moments of sportsmanship, where winning isn't the most important consideration.

You've heard of Licolnshire and Cumberland, and now one Ilkley butcher is on a mission to get his sausages crowned the definitive Yorkshire best. Live in the garden, we're cooking up the brilliant bangers for our presenters to try later in the programme - and we'll be doing our best to avoid too many innuendos.

We sent two of our reporters to Wakefield to have get the Bishop's take on what makes Yorkshire great - and what the people here think about being from the greatest county.

It isn't all Yorkshire Day in the programme this evening. As the law for new drivers changes today meaning they'll have to declare whether they're happy being an organ donor, we've spoken to nurses at Leeds General Infirmary to find out what it'll mean.

Digital switchover is imminent, and Wednesday is the last day you'll be able receive an analogue signal on your TV. We'll be seeing what options are open for you if you decide to throw out the old TV and buy a new one.

All this and much more. Tune in today at 4.30 for the latest.

Catch you later, Claire Harris
