Stephen Knowles - President
 | Stephen Knowles recently graduated with a degree in Sports Journalism. After playing the role of Chairman for the rugby club here at Leeds Trinity, he decided he wanted further input into campus life and is now President of the Students’ Union. With rebranding of the Union taking place, Stephen is looking forward to bringing fresh ideas to the Leeds Trinity campus. |
“We are currently working on new campaigns for Leeds Trinity Students’ Union and I’m looking forward to working here with the support of our students.”
“Instead of sitting and talking about it, I promise to do everything in my power to ensure all of our students have the best time.”
The LTU team have been working hard all summer in preparation for the arrival of new students. Stephen will be dealing with the academic side of student life. From issues with timetables to accommodation queries, his door is always open.
“We have an open door policy so if students have anything they’d like information on they can pop into the LTU office anytime.”
“On a campus of our size it’s a given that everyone will get to know each other over the course of the next year. I’m thoroughly looking forward to sitting down and chatting with each and every one of our new students this semester and next.”

Marcus Myrie - Vice President (Student Activities)
 | Marcus Myrie recently graduated with a degree in Physical Education and Sport Development. He has now taken on the role of Vice President here at Leeds Trinity Students’ Union (LTU). Based in the Students’ Union office on campus, Marcus works alongside LTU President, Stephen Knowles. |
"Hi everyone,
I’m Marcus Myrie and I’m the Vice President of Leeds Trinity Students' Union.
In my role as VP, the smooth running of a range of student activities is down to me. I’ll be working with bars and clubs to organise regular nights out for you all, and the itinerary for what should be a great Intro Week has come together nicely. As well as this, I will be organising on-campus nights and other events throughout the year, and will also be the man to contact for all requests or problems related to sports teams.
I will be working in close conjunction with our RAG Officer to bring you a variety of fundraising events, with RAG week AKA Re-Fresher’s Week in January which is all in aid of a good cause!
Throughout the year I’ll be working with our Entertainment Officer to provide a host of fun activities. As I’m sure you all know, the Olympic Games come to Great Britain in 2012, and we want to do our best to get involved in the greatest show on earth. The Leeds Trinity 2012 Olympics promises to be a fun filled event combining sport and debauchery.
If you have any qualms or comments, don’t hesitate to contact me. This is your Student Union and our main aim is to ensure that you have an enjoyable time here at Leeds Trinity."
