Information for students on or wanting to study on the Maths Enhancement Course (2011/12 information)

Students on the Maths Enhancement course of 6 months or longer will receive a bursary of £200 a week. This bursary comes from the Training and Development Agency. It is paid to you in monthly instalments by Leeds Trinity. You will be asked to provide your details to the Finance Office when you start the course. International students (those who are not eligible for statutory support on a PGCE course and those who will pay the overseas fee rate for a PGCE course) are not eligible for the MEC bursary.

Students on the Maths Enhancement course are not eligible for any statutory support funding (e.g. student loans and grants, tuition fee loan, childcare grant etc). UK students will usually be eligible for this support when you are on your PGCE course.

You may wish to visit the Managing Your Money section of this website which has information on budgeting, maximising your income and links to information on benefits and tax credits.
