Funding to start a new business or to work on a self employed basis

The Leeds Trinity University Proof of Concept fund can provide financial assistance to help students and graduates of Leeds Trinity to establish the feasibility of their business ideas and to develop their ideas. It supports the early stage development of projects that can show commercial potential with awards between £250 and £1000.

Business Start up Grants – JUNE 2013


The Business Start-up Grant programme is open to applications from Leeds Trinity University 2013 graduates who have viable business or self-employment propositions. The applicants must evidence the skills needed to develop their business ideas. The programme is funded within the Graduate Entrepreneurship programme. This programme is part funded through the European Regional Development Fund.

 
The Business Start up Grant provides:
  •  6 months’ intensive support from Business Advisors;
  • a grant of £2,400 (£400 per month from September 2013 to February 2013);
  • special group events and mentoring. 
Initial closing date for applications 1 July 2013. 
NB. Shortlisted Applicants will present their case to a selection panel on Wednesday 10th July 2013.

Graduate Entrepreneurship Programme

The Business Start up services to students and graduates are organised within the Graduate Entrepreneurship programme. This programme supports and promotes Business Start up in Universities across Yorkshire and Humberside.  The programme is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund.
