How to apply
Around the middle of May, we send out the information pack and application form for campus accommodation to all applicants who are holding a firm first choice place on one of our undergraduate courses.
You should fill in the application form and return it to us as soon as possible.  It is date stamped on receipt and is used as the basis for allocating rooms.

For students holding an insurance or clearing place with us, the information pack and application form is sent out once the place becomes firm (usually after A level results).

Accommodation can usually be provided for all first year students who apply but students should note that self-catering and en-suite accommodation is limited and may be oversubscribed. Should demand exceed supply, rooms will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Need help filling in your form? Watch our video below...

Allocation

You will be asked on the application form to list your preferences for the different types of accommodation we offer.  We do our best to allocate your preferred type, but some of our accommodation quickly becomes over-subscribed, in which case an alternative type may be offered to you.

We operate on a ‘first come first served’ principle when allocating accommodation.  Those applicants with an unconditional place may be given some priority, up to the application deadline.

Disabilities

The application form asks you to declare any disability which may affect the type of accommodation which will be suitable for you and every effort will be made to meet your needs.  The Residences Officer may discuss the issues raised with our Dyslexia and Disability Services Co-ordinator, unless you have specifically asked that the information you provide be treated in confidence.

If you have any concerns or support needs that you would like to discuss, you are welcome to contact Dyslexia and Disability Support Services at any time on 0113 283 7138 or by email disability.support@leedstrinity.ac.uk

Contract

Once your place becomes unconditional, you will be sent three copies of our contract and supporting documentation.  You will be asked to complete and sign all three copies and return them to us with your £250 accommodation bond, by the deadline given in the accompanying letter.  One copy of the contract will be returned to you after being signed on behalf of Leeds Trinity, together with a receipt for your bond money.

If you do not return the contract and bond within the deadline given, your room may be allocated to another student.
