• Get a 'drop/add' form from Student Administration - AM36, StudentAdmin@leedstrinity.ac.uk
• Check that any change you want to make satisfies your course of study regulations and that you're registering for the right number of modules
• Return the form to Student Administration as soon as possible as there may be limited places available on the module you now want to do
How do I withdraw from College?
• We strongly advise that you talk with Student Support first, just so you can be sure that this is the best thing for you (College can often help in ways you might not realise!) - contact Judith Atkinson (room AG09 Student Support Centre, ext 196, drop-in sessions Mon-Fri during term-time, appointments can also be made in advance)

• Return the form to Student Administration

• Email - put your tutor's first name initial, dot, tutor's surname and then @leedstrinity.ac.uk . e.g. a.tutor@leedstrinity.ac.uk
• Always give contact details for your tutor to get back to you-mobile phone is best

• Go to the Student Support Central Office (Judith Atkinson, room AG09, ext 196, drop-in sessions Mon to Fri during term-time, appointments can also be made in advance). Judith can agree on the wording of an email/memo she can send to tutors for you
How can I ask for an extension for some coursework?
• Only the Head of your Academic Department can authorise an extension. The maximum amount of extra time that may be given is 5 days. Where there are exceptional circumstances it may be more appropriate to take a Deferred First Opportunity (DFO).
• The pro-forma for use when requesting an extension for submission of an assessment can be found on the Student Intranet This form explains how the process works.
• Judith can help if you wish to discuss your personal circumstances and explore the options that may be available to you, e.g. DFO. She can also help communicate this information to your tutors.
If personal circumstances make it impossible for me to do my essay, project, assignment or dissertation at the right time what can I do?
• If you need up to 5 extra days and the work is something you hand in e.g. essay, assignment, project, dissertation then you might be able to get an extension.
• If circumstances mean that you need more time than an extension can allow, you can apply for a DFO (Deferred First Opportunity) ... if you are granted a DFO then the assessment deadline is delayed till the next assessment round for that work - usually the July/ August/ Sept period before the start of the next academic year
• To apply for a DFO, obtain and complete a DFO form (available from Student Administration) and return the form and independent evidence to Student Administration - room AM36
• Tutors will decide if your application for a DFO is to be successful
