Developing healthy employees at Leeds Trinity University
12 January 2018
In the 12 months since Leeds Trinity University introduced Juice, its health and wellbeing programme, employees have benefited from free health checks, learning lunches and activities to improve their health and wellbeing at work.
The programme includes online advice and activities, which help staff to make long-lasting and positive lifestyle changes. Since linking with Juice, the University has held learning lunches on nutrition and healthy eating, mental health, sleep, and back care; mindfulness sessions; and free health checks for all employees.
Elisabeth Holdsworth, HR Project Officer, said: "The health and wellbeing of our employees is very important. We wanted to help staff to be healthier and happier, and support them to make positive lifestyle changes. Since launching the programme, we've had a fantastic response. The activities and health checks have been very popular. This year, we've got some exciting new activities including the three peaks challenge and the introduction of a Tai Chi class led by one of our academics."
