Small Investment, Big Impact


​​At our next LTBN event on Wednesday 20 June, we'll be looking at how small investment can create impact for your company, with a specific focus on market research and PR.  Our two guest speakers Hannah Rogers from Blue Yonder and Amy Lund, Senior Lecturer in Journalism, PR and Communications at Leeds Trinity University, will provide you with lots of ideas and tips on ways to achieve maximum results through small investments of time and effort.

Presentation 1 – The Power of Market Research

Blue Yonder are a full service, global, market research agency, delivering fresh, clear, intelligent consumer insight, that enable clients to accelerate their journey. In this behind-the scenes presentation, Hannah Rogers will share with you the paths used by these global category leaders to generate the language, insight and understanding required to deliver to their goals and get them where they need to go. During this session Hannah will share the best, small scale techniques guaranteed to provide the greatest possible return.

You will learn how brands start their journey in consumers' homes to connect at the very beginning of a brand relationship. You will discover more about the latest market research technology, trusted methodologies and how to get as close as possible to the emotional triggers that drive consumer behaviour – and ultimately how all this can create a big impact for your company, no matter what your size or budget. ​

Presentation 2 – Creating Big Impact through PR

PR is a vital part of the marketing mix which enhances an organisation's reputation through smaller investments than expensive advertising campaigns.  Harness the power of third-party endorsement and learn how to build these relationships through investing some time and networking. You will learn how to use PR to build confidence in your enterprise and positively promote your business. Discover how PR can create a big impact for your business. 

Amy Lund is a Senior Lecturer in Journalism, PR and Communications at Leeds Trinity University. ​​She launched her career in New York at Seventeen magazine and has worked for a variety of magazines including ELLE in Sydney and Glamour in London. She was the editor of Excelle magazine and has worked in PR and events, representing clients including; The Sanctuary Spa, ghd styling irons and hair beauty range, The Body Shop, Butterkist Popcorn, Greenflag and TK Maxx. Amy offers expertise and consultancy on PR, promotions, journalism, feature writing and online content to build your brand.

Parking for this event is free. Once you have booked your place, you will be sent a confirmation email which includes a password to access a parking permit, available to download and print below.

Please park anywhere on campus via the two main entrances or, if full, at Yarnbury Rugby Club further along Brownberrie Lane on the right hand side. Please make your way to the main reception where you will be met and shown the way.
