A dialogue with Channel 4

Channel 4 are delighted to be opening their new national HQ in Leeds on the 14th October, as part of their ‘4 All the UK’ strategy. The ‘4 All the UK’ strategy will ensure that Channel 4 serves the whole of the UK and is the biggest change to the structure of the organisation in its 37-year history. Their new HQ, alongside new creative hubs in Bristol and Glasgow, provides Channel 4 with a great opportunity to engage and attract from the diverse range of talent that exists in Leeds and the Yorkshire region.

What's happening?

To celebrate the beginning of Channel 4’s presence in Yorkshire and to start a dialogue with the local community, Channel 4, in conjunction with Leeds Trinity University and the Professional Muslims Institute (PMI), are hosting a Community Engagement event. Channel 4 will talk about how the ‘4 All the UK’ strategy will impact the Yorkshire region and how you as community leaders can help them forge relationships locally. They are keen to build a network of ambassadors who will help them communicate opportunities at the channel within their communities.

Channel 4 representatives will talk about their commitment to creating a diverse workforce and an inclusive culture, the job and career opportunities that are available now, and in the future, alongside placement programmes, apprenticeships, graduate schemes and work experience.

Throughout the channel’s history, diversity has been at the heart of everything they do on and off screen, the ambition is to be the most diverse and inclusive employer, alongside continuing to represent modern Britain on-screen.

This event will start the process of creating a dialogue between the channel and the local communities and Channel 4, Leeds Trinity University and PMI would like to invite members of your community who have interests in learning more about Channel 4 to this exciting opportunity for the Leeds area.
