Theology and Religious Studies is a research intensive subject, led at Leeds Trinity by a team of dedicated researchers.

A Research-active Environment

Theology and Religious Studies are current subjects, driven by research at all levels. Our lecturers and staff are all active contributors to research in their fields, with ongoing research interests and publications. This means our teaching, at both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels, is informed and driven by the latest developments in specialists fields - developments often driven by research contributions from our faculty members.

Whether in lectures, class discussions, or supervision of your own independent research, you will be in dialogue with the latest developments in Theology & Religious Studies. Staff expertise and enthusiasm grounds stimulating undergraduate degree programmes, and both our Honours BA tracks (Theology and Religious Studies) include independent research elements at Level 3.

Postgraduate Research

Staff research expertise also offers a context for enriching post-graduate work. An expanding portfolio of taught and research degrees is available, including a popular taught MA in Literature and Spirituality; as well as PhD supervision. Please see our Staff Profiles for specific research interests and specialisms. Contact member of staff who shares your interest or direct your enquiry to Prof. Kirsteen Kim, k.kim@leedstrinity.ac.uk.
