Intergenerational Cooking Clubs

The pilot of Intergenerational After School Cooking Clubs were a great success.

Three school have been involved in the pilot of intergenerational after school cooking clubs:

  • Carr Manor High School
  • City of Leeds High School
  • Lawnswood High School

The pilot began in September 2008 and 15-20 pupils from each school took part in the 10 week cooking programme.  Each participating student has had a chance to select their favourite top 10 recipes and to have a go at designing a logo for the project.

4 - 6 Cooking Champions were involved with each school, mentoring and assisting the pupils throughout the whole coooking experiance.

After the successful pilot of the intergenerational after school cooking clubs, Leeds Trinity is now looking to roll out the scheme to other interested schools.
