The Department of Psychology at Leeds Trinity University prides itself on the quality of teaching and research, and our long-standing record of encouraging academic excellence with our students.
A report by the national Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for Higher Education awarded the Department its top grade for teaching, learning, and assessment.
All of our Psychology courses are single honour degrees and accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) delivered by our experienced academics. Each course includes a professional work placement scheme that is designed to give you vital vocational training that will add another level of practical understanding to your study of psychology.
We have excellent facilities, including a number of dedicated psychology laboratories and observation centres.
The BPS is British Psychology’s professional body and our accredited courses confer eligibility for the Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership. This is the first step towards becoming a chartered psychologist.
During our last accreditation visit, the BPS team commented: "The programme teams provide a very supportive, open, collegiate and friendly atmosphere within the Department, and are a very approachable and accessible staff team, which is particularly welcomed by students registered on the programmes".
