Primary schools are dynamic and exciting environments, where children's learning needs to be carefully planned and managed. By studying one of our Primary Education degrees, you will have the opportunity to learn and apply practical teaching skills as well as studying children's learning, development, law, behaviour and assessment theory. You will develop as an independent learner and researcher and you will engage in school-based training to apply your knowledge in the workplace.
Having Qualified Teacher Status means that there is no need for you to go on to do a PGCE after completing your undergraduate degree. If you are already committed to a career as a primary school teacher, this is the way to develop your knowledge and skills, balancing practical application with honours degree study.
