The Centre collaborates with Edinburgh University Press in publishing the Journal of Victorian Culture. Launched in 1996, the JVC has established itself as the premier British-based journal of interdisciplinary Victorian Studies. It is characterised particularly by a strong commitment to interdisciplinary exchanges, drawing in contributions from across the range of disciplines that constitute Victorian Studies, and by its innovative formats, including the highly-successful and widely-imitated 'Roundtable' section.
The JVC is run by an editorial board of distinguished Victorian Studies academics from Britain, Europe, and America. The current editor of the JVC is Dr Helen Rogers, from John Moores University, to whom all correspondence relating to editorial matters should be addressed. The Acting Director of the Leeds Centre for Victorian Studies, Dr Rosemary Mitchell, acts as the Associate Editor.
Subscriptions and business matters were previously managed by Edinburgh University Press, but please note that as of January 2010, the journal will be published by Taylor & Francis, a division of Routledge. Look out for some exciting new developments, including an increasing internet presence for the journal! Click here for access to the new JVC website at Taylor & Francis.
