Colloquia

The LCVS organises a regular series of one-day colloquia designed to appeal to scholars from a range of disciplines.  Postgraduates and members of the public are welcome as well as academics!

To encourage discussion, papers are pre-circulated, many of them being published in the associated volume of Leeds Working Papers which is distributed to all participants in advance of the event.  Many of these volumes are still available for purchase from j.hamblin@leedstrinity.ac.uk.

Our last colloquium, Victorian Childhoods, on 20 March 2010, was a great success.  The following events are projected for 2011-12, and we hope to see you at one of them!

- Atkinson Grimshaw (in collaboration with the Mercer Art Gallery in Harrogate), May 2011

- Victorian Globalisation, Autumn 2011

- Victorian Spirituality, 2012

- The Victorians and Disability, 2011-12.
