Leeds Trinity's English courses will immerse you in the glorious history and traditions of English literature. You'll gain a thorough understanding of the contemporary literary scene and take part in valuable professional work experience.

Our flexible course programme explores literature and language from the Middle Ages through to the present day, and can be studied either as a Single Honours or as part of the English and Writing Single Honours BA. Or you can combine it with Media Studies, History, or Film Studies, equipping you with the necessary skills to achieve your career ambitions. As well as academic study, you will be able to put your studies to work, gaining practical workplace experience with our professional placements scheme.

Our committed and energetic lecturers have years of academic and research experience behind them, their areas of expertise range from Chaucer to Rushdie, Arthurian legend to the Great American Novel, and they’ll do all they can to help you make the most of your time at Leeds Trinity.
