Children, Young People and Families

The Department for Children, Young People and Families aspires to be recognised as a centre of excellence in its delivery of education studies.

We provide a range of undergraduatefoundation degrees and professional development courses. We work in partnership with employers to provide meaningful development opportunities across the sector as the main professional development choice for the children's workforce in the region.

Our full-time degree programmes also include professional placement opportunities which give you first hand experience of working in a setting of your choice applying your theoretical understanding in practise.

Working with children, young people and families is challenging, but can lead to great job satisfaction by making a difference in a person's life. Our programmes provide the knowledge and skills to take on roles at all levels, covering a wide range of subjects and areas that support children, young people and families.
