Eligibility
Participants must work in any of the maintained, private, voluntary or independent sectors and should be in a paid role.
Is this programme for you?
Candidates will have management and/or leadership experience and core skills around management of people, resources and change, as well as knowledge of child development and core values of play. This may be evidenced through qualifications and/or experience.
You might be working in any of the maintained, private, voluntary or independent sectors.
While this is a practical and practice based programme, candidates will need to evidence to training providers that they can benefit from this course, which will be targeted at level 6.
Please click here for the Playwork leaflet for further information.
How much time will be needed?
You will need to commit time to attend all the programmed delivery sessions - eight days. While the workload will not be onerous, you will need to undertake some reading, exercises (some on-line) and reflective activities in your own time.
You will need support from your manager to allow you access to the course and some time to carry out activities in the workplace.
Will there be assessment?
Many of the activities you undertake as we go through the programme can be submitted for assessment. This will be in the form of Learning plans and Reflective Learning Logs which will contribute to a portfolio which you will build up. However, there will also be some exercises and case study work which will be used for assessment.
Will it lead to a nationally recognised qualification?
It is likely that the programme will have national recognition. CWDC are still exploring options with regard to acceditation for this programme.
As a participant in this training, you can benefit from:
- a free graduate level and high quality training programme requiring eight days attendance that will be delivered across a period of time. You will also need to commit to a further period of independent study for reading, reflection and completion of assessment work.
