Postgraduate Journalism
Postgraduate journalism at Leeds Trinity University College enjoys a well-deserved reputation, both among news organisations and related media, and in academic circles.
During their studies our trainees have the opportunity to work closely with industry, thanks to guest speakers, editors and one-off projects. This year we have had trainees writing for the Guardian’s Leeds blog, undertaking a commission for The Politics Show and working filing results to a wide-range of broadcast outlets on election night.
Our postgraduate programmes are professionally accredited by the National Council for the Training of Journalists and the Broadcast Journalism Training Council and have an impressive track record in providing a very high level of vocational training and enhanced employment prospects for graduates.
In January 2011, we introduced the NCTJ’s new Diploma in Journalism as part of our post graduate programme.
