This will include understanding the broader factors that influence health decision making, safeguarding issues for service users, and ethical issues for working with diverse clients. Academic and research skills will be integrated throughout your programme, and you will also be introduced to the fundamentals of working within a professional capacity, including reflective learning and self-evaluation. You will finish the year with a practical placement where you will have the opportunity to apply your learning in a practical setting.

Your professional development will be enhanced through studying resilience and mental toughness, and your leadership ability will be enhanced through a strand which explores leadership, financial and facility management and managing for diversity.
