Welcome to the School of Arts and Communication at Leeds Trinity University. The School boasts a wealth of staff expertise across a range of disciplines, a strong focus on the development of employability skills in our students and a newly-invigorated emphasis on research bolstered by a growing community of PhD students, along with the work of two research centres.
The School is home to the long-standing Leeds Centre for Victorian Studies and the newly-established International Research Centre for Interactive Storytelling (IRIS).
Our current undergraduate degree programmes cover English and Creative Writing, Media and Film, Computer Science, Journalism, Humanities and Law. We also have a postgraduate provision in Journalism, Victorian Studies and Creative Writing.
Staff also deliver Continued Professional Development (CPD) to external organisations, with a track record in media training and social media development.
Thanks to excellent television and radio studios facilities, the School is able to offer students the opportunity to work with industry-standard equipment and on a plethora of creative projects, many of which involve work with external clients or organisations.
Our staff have strong links with employers and a range of professional organisations which underpin our placement provision for our undergraduate students and to provide a range of opportunities for experts to visit the University or students to get involved with external events.
Key developments for the School are around enhancing and developing undergraduate provision to ensure excellent student experience and attainment, growing our research expertise, outputs and associated income and developing knowledge exchange opportunities.
