​​Explore your passion to understand how people act, think, practise their beliefs. You’ll learn from active researchers, who will bring your subject to life with a varied curriculum that might cover topics from Buddhism and bioethics, evil and evolution.

You’ll develop a critical understanding of the world, engaging in topical debates and lively discussions. Learning in small groups, you’ll receive the individualised student support that Leeds Trinity is renowned for and develop the in-demand key transferable skills that employers are looking for.

Undergraduate Philosophy, Religious Studies and Politics courses:

Philosophy, Ethics and Religion

We'll teach you how to interpret texts, analyse complex concepts and apply ideas and ethical values to daily life. You'll learn how to synthesize complex arguments, as well as how to present fresh and exciting new ones. You'll also search for what 'truth' and 'meaning' might mean by studying a range of ideas and positions.

Politics and Economics

Aimed at students with a genuine interest in current political, social, and economic affairs, our Politics and Economics degree will enable you to develop the key critical skills needed for examining political and economic issues in local and global settings. You'll study micro and macroeconomics, learning how to apply economic analysis to a range of real world issues and debates. At the same time, you'll gain insights into the study of politics, exploring topics such as political science and international relations.

Politics and International Relations

Combining insights from political theory, analysis and communication, you'll examine the pressing issues that dominate today's ever-changing political and economic landscape. You'll learn from research-active lecturers, whose diverse range of specialisms will give you the opportunity to explore a fascinating range of subjects that includes nationalism, the relationship between politics and culture, EU politics and immigration, peace studies and civil society.

Theology and Religious Studies

We'll expand and challenge your knowledge of religion, spirituality and theology, developing your understanding of both their historical importance and their relevance to contemporary society. Unlike many other Theology and Religious Studies degrees, we focus on the anthropological question of what it means to be human in the context of religion, theology, ethics and philosophy.
