​​Journalism Week - November 2015 programme

Sky Sports' Presenter, Jeff Stelling opened the week on Monday 16 November with a keynote speech, drawing on his journalism career of nearly 40 years. Students had the chance to join a special debate about local TV hosted by the Royal Television Society. Is it vanity, or sanity? Taking part in the debate was Dave McCormack, Chief Operating Officer of Made Telev​ision, Chris Johnson, CEO of Bay TV in Liverpool and Chair of the Local TV Network, and Martin C​orrigan, B​oard Director of global media agency Mediacom. 

There was also a representative from Hello York, a group preparing to launch a new local TV channel for York. ​​Joining Jeff, Dave, Chris and Marin was high-profile journalists representing a range of broadcast, print, online and social media outlets including The Guardian, BuzzFeed and Sky News. ​
