The Institute of Childhood and Education (ICE)
provides a rich environment where high-quality teaching and learning underpins our resolve to improve the lives of children. It's no surprise then that we are the North East of England centre for the Teaching and Learning Academy (TLA).
The TLA scheme has made a significant impact on schools and colleges across England. Leeds Trinity facilitates the training and equipping of both Primary Education
and Secondary Education
workforces with recognised and accredited professional practice.
Benefits to teaching staff
No matter what career stage, the TLA learning framework offers all teaching staff the opportunity to:
- broaden skills
- gain professional recognition
- cultivate a coaching culture amongst staff
- support whole-school improvements
The TLA provides a professional development framework for schools committed to inspiring and developing their teaching staff. It's an innovative practice-based approach to raise standards, develop teaching staff and improve learning outcomes for pupils. The learning framework can also lead to accreditation from foundation degrees (Level 4) through to master's degrees (Level 7).
