About the programme
Pathways Partnership provides each trainee with an excellent opportunity to train in two of its successful schools through a bespoke programme designed in partnership with Leeds Trinity University. In addition, the strong collaborative nature of the partnership provides trainee teachers with the opportunity to link with outstanding practitioners and specialists across all 17 schools.
Your year will be predominantly based in school but will comprise 3 distinct stages:-
Stage 1: In this stage you will receive intensive support and training from the university, giving you the skills, knowledge and understanding to prepare you for your block placement.
Stage 2: Provides you with the opportunity to develop and practise your skills as a primary teacher alongside experienced practitioners.
A dedicated school based mentor will support you through this process.
Stage 3: This stage enables you to consolidate and apply your skills and knowledge through an 80% teaching timetable.
The Pathways Partnership will support transition into your first teaching appointment.
Applicants must meet our minimum requirements set out below:
A degree at 2.2 or above
GCSE English, mathematics and science at Grade C or above (or equivalent)
Successful Applicants must
Meet the 'national requirements' (degree, GCSEs, DBS check, health clearance)
- Have good subject knowledge at degree level
- Have some subject curriculum knowledge
- Have recent experience in a school or schools or other relevant experience

The tuition fee for this training programme is £9,250.
