You’ll study the core components of sport and exercise sciences, including psychology, physiology, biomechanics, and research methods. But unlike other sport and exercise sciences courses, you’ll also learn the practical techniques required to become a strength and conditioning coach.
You’ll explore a range of theories and concepts, but most importantly, you’ll develop key laboratory skills in a range of disciplines in order to improve the performance of athletes.
Putting theory into practice, you’ll complete two professional work placements. You can complete your placements in the UK or abroad, and you’ll have the opportunity to volunteer or study abroad as part of your degree.
You’ll also have access to excellent facilities and equipment, including our specialist Strength and Conditioning Suite.
Postgraduate courses are a great way to enhance your skills further and really specialise within an area. Following this course, you will be qualified to study at postgraduate level in areas such as MA Sport Management, MSc Health and Well being, Master by Research programme and PGCE courses, which we provide here at Leeds Trinity.
